Light Savers of the Originals

Written by a Very Talented 12-Year-Old girl named Olivia Cutes who visits The How with two cousins of hers named Jax and Evan. She appears in the first book in the Gaia Chronicles series titled: The Heart of the World. This is her updated version of that story she submitted to apply for the once in a lifetime school trip to visit The How. She added Origonese to her story and this is the result.

Long, long ago, in a huge o-giggly-wo galaxy that had way too much doubt and fear, there was a big war! It was a battle for balance inside the heart between the dark energy of the self and the light energy of the self.

The last evil Domagi in existence was creeping around space searching for a brand-new apprentice. To stop this dark wizard from corrupting anyone's mind, the brave Originals sent an Orijinal Master and his loyal opowondo (apprentice) to save the day!

Meanwhile, inside a giant stage arena, everyone suddenly went super quiet. A wise old master named Joiya sat right at center stage holding a microphone...

CHAPTER 1: The Wise Lesson

"A regular job... is just a path to the dark side of yourself!" Master Joiya declared into the mic. "Ask yourself this: What kind of energy am I using today? Fear has so many shapes and empty threats! You do not need to speak... you must learn to see with your ears and hear the truth with your eyes!"

A confused boy named Owen raised his hand in the front row. "Wait... so if I fight a duel and lose, I actually win?"

"Lose first you must, then win you will!" Master Joiya chuckled happily. "Surrender to the bad vibes, let your old fears die, and reborn you will become—a true Orijinal Master! Your guide Obojoni is already waiting for you. Now go take a 15-minute recess break and relax!"

(After a super fun 15-minute break...)

Master Joiya tapped the mic again. "Lesson two! Everything in the universe is actually free! Price tags are just an illusion made of lies. A true Original is a protector of the free! A light saver isn't just a shiny weapon—it saves lives by destroying the evil inside people that they couldn't destroy themselves!"

Owen looked worried. "But won't people say I'm stealing if I don't pay for things?"

"You cannot steal what is already free!" Master Joiya beamed. "The fear of the dark side creates stress and fake bills. Truth is totally free! Now, take your new light saver! Go out into the galaxy, breathe deep, and remember—the power of the light side of the self is always with you!"

Master Joiya hopped onto a glowing hoverboard and zipped off stage toward his starship!

CHAPTER 2: The Trap at the Burger Joint

Sitting in the very front row of the arena was a boy named Osiris. Right behind him was the last Domagi left in the galaxy—a dark wizard named O-Fredy-lo (people called him Fred the Savage). Fred had just gotten his 13th name-change application rejected by the government, and he was in a super bad mood! He wanted to trick Osiris into becoming his new evil apprentice.

Fred wore a dark green wizard hat, stood six feet tall, and carried a hollow metal staff. He walked up to Osiris with a fake, charming smile.

"Hello! My name is Fred Savage," the dark wizard lied smoothly. "I have a top-secret employment opportunity for you! Let me buy you dinner and we can talk about it."

"Free food? Okay, let's go eat!" Osiris said.

Unbeknownst to them, two brave heroes—Orijinal Master Windy and his apprentice Drift—were watching from the shadows! Drift sneaked through the crowd like a ninja and slapped a tiny tracking button onto Osiris's jacket.

"Headquarters, this is Master Windy," Windy whispered into his communicator. "The Domagi is trying to corrupt Osiris!"

"Do not let Fred get an apprentice!" the High Council called back over the communicator. "Guide Osiris to safety at all costs!"

Master Windy and Drift hopped into their speeder and zipped over to Jolly Bee's Fast Food on 34th Street, arriving just seconds before Fred and Osiris!

Inside Jolly Bee's, Fred bought Osiris a huge meal and leaned in. "You'll report to me and do super dangerous tasks," Fred whispered. "You'll get richer than your wildest dreams!"

Osiris frowned. "I don't care about money. I just want to help people."

"Help people?!" Fred gasped in shock. "Do you know who I am? I am a Domagi—a dark wizard!"

"Oh," Osiris said, shaking his head. "Well, I don't want to join the dark side. Thank you for the meal, but I decline your offer."

Fred's eyes glowed with dark anger. "You think I'll just let you walk away?!"

Suddenly, Master Windy used his mind-powers to whisper secretly into Osiris's ear. Osiris repeated the words aloud: "You don't have a choice! Without my consent, you are not my master!" 

Fred gritted his teeth. "Fine! But if you ever join the Originals, watch your back!" Fred stomped out of the Jolly Bee's into the night.

Master Windy and Drift immediately stepped up to Osiris's table, their light savers resting safely on their belts.

"That was amazing!" Drift smiled. "Walking away from a Domagi without a scratch takes real courage!"

"Osiris," Master Windy asked heroically, "would you like to learn the ways of the light side of the self and train to become a true Original?"

Osiris's eyes lit up with excitement. "Um... YES! I will!"

"Then come with us!" Drift cheered. "Our star cruiser BX-51 is outside. Next stop: Magnetika!"

The three heroes ran out to their glowing starship, blasted through the planet's atmosphere, and hyper-warped straight into the stars to save the galaxy!
