Poems From The How
I Do Love You
Can you feel my love in your music?
Can you hear me speak in the songs of birds chirping?
Am I there with you when strangers smile at you?
Can you see the clues left in the clouds of our Heavenly Father?
Do you see the divinity of God's love, the truth that we know?
Do we have a future? Only this you will know.
Now, how have I found you?
At this I wonder—
Oh my, have I wandered.
When we finally meet, the only thing we will need to learn
Is each other's body language,
For we will know each other's hearts
And be comfortable in each other's arms.
The first sleep I get to hold you
Will be my favorite.
I will, if you let me, hold you
Until you fall asleep—
Every night.
I do love you.
